NYPower is a 3 day Rocketry Festival held by the Monroe Astronautical Rocket Society (MARS) on Memorial Day weekend. Featuring rockets of all shapes and sizes soaring into the sky.
Parents, if you have kids interested in flying rockets, the Syracuse Rocket Club (SRC) will be on hand with their fly it - take it program. Any child 17 and under can come to the SRC tent where they will be given a rocket expertly built by the SRC team and shown how to prep it for launch. They will then be taken out to the pads to launch and upon retrieval of the Rocket, it is theirs to take home.
Two basket raffles will be held, one for adults & one for children 17 and under. Raffles tickets for the adult raffle need to be purchased, children's raffle no purchase necessary.
There will be vendors onsite selling rockets, motors, and many rocketry related products. The Cozy Kitchen food truck will also be on the field Saturday and Sunday with delicious and affordable food.
Saturday night, stay for our Annual Night Launch with LED lit class 1 rockets. Spectators are always welcome and children under 17 always fly for free. Adults planning to fly check our website for registration at https://marsclub.org/welcome-to-nypower/
