4-H
4-H is America's Largest youth development organization. It has empowered nearly 6 million young people, like the Georgetown, Texas competition team, with the skills needed to lead for a lifetime. The National Association of Rocketry (NAR) has developed a partnership with 4-H to help youth develop and build leadership, engineering, teamwork, and creativity skills through rocketry. This partnership will encourage youth to deepen their knowledge and understanding of rocketry and what it takes to succeed in the aerospace and engineering industry.
With the NAR partnership students will learn how to host sport launches, create competition teams for the American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) and build rocket projects for the many 4-H “state fair” events held each year. NAR & 4-H students will also be able to form school clubs to teach others how to safely build, fly and recover model, middle level, and high-power rockets.
